The Southern California Roadrunners have been quietly developing some of America's best young runners over the past 50 years. The training grounds are quite simple. They are on the streets, tracks and trails of the Inland Empire.
The coaches are among the most qualified and dedicated alumni including world and national record holders, state and national record holders, state and national champions and members of the 1984, 1988, and 1996 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Teams.
The Roadrunners training program is a year round effort offering training in running. It includes more than 70 boys and girls age 7 and older. There are also many adults, who furthermore serve as coaches. Through the team's affiliation with national age groups of the USATF and the Amateur Athletic Union, members participate in regular competition at local, state, and national levels.
